Status of Reflexology in America

What to look for in a Reflexology School

Welcome to the wonderful world of Reflexology.
If you are new to Reflexology, you are at the beginning of what might well be a life long journey of discovery, fulfillment, and profound satisfaction.

If you are already a practitioner of Reflexology, amateur or professional, you already know there is always something new and helpful to learn about Reflexology.

If you are a natural health practitioner or a primary health care provider, you might not be aware of the wide range of Reflexology Research validating the effectiveness of Reflexology.

And if you are looking for a career in Reflexology, by becoming a Certified Reflexologist, you can not only help yourself, your family, and friends, but you can also help thousands of people throughout your career to feel better, and lead healthier more vibrant fulfilling lives.

Reflexology is a relatively new drugless approach to prevention, wellness, and better health. As such, many people are not aware of how extensive the field of Reflexology has become in the United States of America.

As you continue reading, we would like to draw your attention to two subjects:

    1. Status of Reflexology in America.
    2. What to Look For in a Reflexology School.

Our educational courses in Reflexology are chock-full of information that will help you improve your own health – as well as that of the recipients of your nurturing touch – physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. If your interest still isn’t peaked, read on.

After you read what follows, if you would like to study Reflexology, we invite you to look at www.AmericanAcademyofReflexology.com for an extensive array of in-depth information about Reflexology, Reflexology Certification, Reflexology Charts, Reflexology Books, Reflexology Research, and a great deal more.

If your interest is in the first Reflexology Research study ever published in scientific medical literature, or a list of over 300 Reflexology studies from around the world, or in how to conduct Reflexology Research, we invite you to go to www.ReflexologyResearch.net.

Once again, welcome to the wonderful world of Reflexology.

Reflexology Recognized by the Federal Government

Under the auspices of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM), recognizes the profession of Reflexology. Reflexology Schools

There are a number of Reflexology Schools in America. Of course, we would like you to consider studying with us, at the American Academy of Reflexology.

What To Look For In A Reflexology School

Pioneers In The Field

The American Academy of Reflexology pioneered classroom instruction (beyond the old standard of a weekend class in Foot Reflexology) to extended professional level classes in Foot Reflexology, Hand Reflexology, Ear Reflexology, and the Integration of Foot Hand Ear Reflexology. Additionally, the Academy discovered and teaches the "7 Principles of Integration."

Longevity

The American Academy of Reflexology (Academy) has specialized in teaching the Integration of Foot Hand Ear Reflexology for over 25 years.

A State Approved and Licensed Reflexology School

If you want your studies to count towards being able to practice Reflexology legally, you want to be sure to study with a Reflexology School that is Approved and Licensed by the appropriate state educational agency. The America Academy of Reflexology is state Approved and Licensed.

A Stand-Alone School

The American Academy of Reflexology is a stand-alone school. In other words, we are not part of a school that’s main focus is other subjects, such as manicures, hair, massage, or computer training. These types of schools are specialists in the mentioned subjects, but not Reflexology.

Specializes in Reflexology

The American Academy of Reflexology, from the beginning in 1982, has been exclusively devoted to the art, study, science, and teaching of Foot Hand Ear Reflexology and to the advancement of the field of Reflexology throughout California, the United States of America, and the world.

Specializes in Foot Hand and Ear Reflexology

Although many schools teach Foot Reflexology, the Academy has led the world in the exploration of the many advantages of integrating Foot Hand Ear Reflexology into each Reflexology Session for far greater results.

Teaches Beginning, Reflexology Certification, and Continuing Education Classes.

The Academy teaches all three:

1. Beginning classes in Foot Reflexology, Hand Reflexology, Ear Reflexology,

2. Professional Certification, and provides an

3. Extensive array of Continuing Education Classes, all related to Reflexology.

Conducted Scientific Reflexology Research

The Academy conducted the first Reflexology Research Study to validate the effectiveness of Foot Hand Ear Reflexology as taught at the Academy. This study, conducted by Bill Flocco, has been quoted in almost every Published Reflexology Research study conducted since 1993.

Keep Up With Latest Developments

The Academy stays up to date on the latest developments in the field of Reflexology from around the world.

Meet ARCB Standards

The Academy meets or exceeds American Reflexology Certification Board (ARCB) Standards.

Is Nationally Accredited

The Academy is the only State Licensed Reflexology School exclusively dedicated to Reflexology to be Nationally Accredited by the American Commission for the Accreditation of Reflexology Education and Teachers (ACARET).

As you can see, the American Academy of Reflexology has achieved all of the above and more for the enhancement of the student’s learning experience and success as Reflexology Practitioners.
